Rose co-founded Variant Partners with her husband Sam in 1970. In her role as CEO, she is accountable for the day-to-day business operations. This includes managing the administrative staff, payroll, and accounting and finance.  She contributes significantly to our hiring process, strategic planning and franchise relations.

Rose was integral in launching the administrative staffing division in 1988. She was accountable for the growth and management of that group directly in addition to her CEO role.  Our administrative division has won numerous awards for quality of service and division performance.

Rosemary received her Associate’s degree in General Business with honors.

Sam co-founded Variant Partners in 1970 with his wife Rose. In his current role as Chairman, he works alongside Rose and his son, David in developing the strategic business and growth management plan for the organization necessary to guarantee the success of Variant Partners’ performance goals and the preservation of the principles and moral established by Rose and himself over 45 years ago.  His leadership has played a critical role in establishing Variant Partners as an executive search firm that is inherently driven to ensure a positive experience for everyone we work with.

The overall sales and marketing, human resources, financial, contractual and legal issues are just some of the fundamental aspects Sam manages on a daily basis. Sam plays a critical role in the hiring and training of new account executives as well as working to continually develop tenure in the organization.

Prior to founding Variant Partners, Sam was employed at Ford Motor Company in the Product Engineering division for seven years.

Sam received his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. He also holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan.

David Sarafa is the President of Variant Partners and manages a specialized team within the company. David’s unique background in this industry enables him to gain a much deeper understanding of what is needed for the roles his team works on, and the expertise of the people they work with. David is fortunate to have a strong team working with him that he has been able to share his knowledge and experience with.

Jerry Coffey joined Variant Partners in 2022 as its Director of the firm’s Energy Practice. Jerry brings with him an extensive career as a lawyer in the energy business. He has worked across the spectrum of energy specialties, including power, energy markets, natural gas production and transportation, and oil & gas. Subject matter experience includes corporate governance, compliance, restructuring, regulatory, contract administration, transactional, and finance-related work. During his career, Jerry held a variety of both in-house and outside counsel positions, including General Counsel and law-firm partner positions. This experience enables Jerry to understand the needs and complexities associated with staffing legal, regulatory and compliance departments.

Lindsay joined Variant Partners in 2012 and has recruited across multiple industries during her tenure. Serving as the Sourcing Manager today- Lindsay applies her knowledge and deep understanding of client’s needs to provide tailored search, sourcing, and structured outreach to identify and engage with today’s top talent.

Lindsay graduated from Eastern Michigan University, receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management. She prides herself in being honest and transparent with strong attention to detail.

When she is not working, Lindsay enjoys exploring new adventures through the eyes of her children and spoiling her rescue dogs.

Alex joined Variant Partners in 2022 as a Recruiter on the Automotive, Manufacturing, and Transportation team. Alex is also working on the Business Development team where he works on building relationships with potential new clients.

Alex graduated from Eastern Michigan University, with honors, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. Alex is a sales driven person who enjoys the process of gaining new business. Alex “Loves learning about different ways to gain the trust of potential clients”.

When Alex is not working, he is normally working out or hanging out at the lake with family and friends. He loves spending his time outdoors whenever he has the chance!

Antonio joined Variant Partners in 2022 as a Recruiter on the Automotive / Manufacturing / and Transportation team. Antonio’s recruiting duties are to source, connect, and qualify the best talent in the market to produce nothing short of a win-win scenario for both our clients and candidates.

Antonio graduated from The University of Toledo, receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration in Professional Sales & Marketing. He brings to Variant Partners a determined mindset to succeed, willingness to grow and adapt, and a passion to help others in any capacity.

Outside of work, you will find Antonio either spending time with his family or outside enjoying mother nature. He loves to fish, kayak, and camp.

Fun Fact: Antonio spent six years in the United States Army!

Heidi joined Variant Partners in 2020 as a Recruiter Coordinator, part-time. Heidi assists all recruiters needed and keeps our systems up to date and organized. Heidi is flexible and supports our team on her schedule, which benefits from both sides.

Heidi has experience with recruiting and looks forward to being more involved in the future, as for now her full-time job is raising 2 young children.

Outside of work, you will find Heidi spending time with her family and friends, she enjoys anything artistic and creative, she also has a passion for interior design and photography.

Avery joined Variant Partners in 2022 as a Recruiting Intern and transitioned to a Sourcing Specialist in 2023. She works to source high-quality candidates, across multiple industries, for a diverse set of positions. Avery is available to connect and looks forward to helping people reach their professional goals.

Avery is a 2023 Purdue University graduate with a Bachelor’s in Organizational Management. She brings a motivated mindset, strong time-management skills, and a desire to make positive impacts within the Variant Partners’ team.
